Review of Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina
Masterly renovated historic hotel with good facilities and friendly staff
Together with friends (two families with a teenager each) we spent six days at this historic, but expertly renovated hotel. My husband and I had a double room De Luxe and our son had an adjacent Single Room De Luxe in the new wing. Both rooms were well-sized, contemporarily furnished and had well-appointed bathrooms as well as balconies.2012/07/25

Review of Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens, La Fortuna
Luxurious, spacious bungalows with good view of volcano in lush tropical garden with helpful staff
My husband, our teenage son and I stayed three nights at this hotel
which offers a good view to the Arenal Volcano (you can see not only the inactive
side but also the active one). There are 50 free-standing bungalows in a lush
tropical garden and many of them have an unobstructed view of the volcano.

Review of Hotel Park Hyatt, Paris

Elegant hotel, contemporary luxury and incredible staff
My husband and I chose this favourably located hotel for a weekend in Paris. As seasoned Paris travellers we always had wanted to stay near to one of our most favoured squares of Paris, the Place Vendome. The Park Hyatt Paris is really an exquisitely designed and tastefully decorated place! We had already known the hotel from an earlier visit to the bar, but we were once again impressed by the sheer elegance of the site.

Review of Hotel Oceana, Santa Monica
Good (relatively quiet) location, large rooms, fine staff
If you want to be in a hotel at the beaches of Los Angeles, they don’t make it easy for you. The place to be in Santa Monica is supposed to be either The Shutter’s or the Casa del Mar, but my husband, my teenage son and I preferred the Oceana to these two hotels because the location is nicer
Review of Hotel The Resort at Pelican Hill, Newport Beach
Nice setting, beautiful views & good facilities
There are several top-notch resorts in the area; we (my husband, my teenage son and I) had already been at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and had wanted to try another one. It proved difficult to find such a place at least if you don’t want to pay exorbitant prices, so we were lucky
Review of Hotel Palm Springs Rendezvous, Palm Springs
1950s feel, fine accommodation, great food
Our family (two adults and a teen) normally is not into bed & breakfast establishments but when their reviews are better than most of luxury hotels on site we make an exception. We happened to this with the Rendezvous and weren’t disappointed. It is – as stated on their homepage – a perfect
Review of L’Auberge de Sedona, Sedona
Splendid setting, beautiful Vista Suites & friendly staff
The location of this hotel along a lovely creek is quite stunning. It is also well situated for exploring Sedona, at least the commercial district of it. As there were three of us (family with a teenager) we opted for one of the newly built Vista Suites and we were not disappointed!
Review of El Tovar Hotel, Grand Canyon National Park
Historic hotel in fantastic location
This hotel is all about history and location. It looks back on more than 100 years and its setting right at the south rim of the Grand Canyon is not to beat. When you first set foot in the impressive entrance hall it may be quite an experience. As I had learnt from other reviews this impression often vanishes when you enter your room.
